
All Wirral Clubs affiliating to Badminton England from the 2025/26 season are required to name a Club Welfare Officer by the end of September 2025 .
By September 2026 the named officer will be required to have undertaken an online course provided by Badminton England.
Why is this happening?
Badminton England want to introduce minimum standards that will provide a benchmark for good practice and guidance to best support affiliated clubs and groups to deliver amazing experiences for all players. This will lead to enjoyable, inclusive, and safe environments for all those playing, working and volunteering in our sport.

As September 2026 club affiliation draws closer, Badminton England expect demand for workshops to increase, so would like to encourage clubs yet to meet these requirements to encourage their nominated person to complete the training at their earliest opportunity.
This workshop is free and online and has been brought in-house to make it completely relevant to our badminton community.
